Quaner is a small Japanese select shop hidden in the alleys of Shanghai’s French Concession. A reservation is necessary to visit the store. 90% of the products sold in the store are one-and-only items made by Japanese artisans and craftsmen. They mainly sell tea-making ceramics, dining ware, and flower vases. Stepping into the store is like stepping into someone’s home—it feels quiet, calm, and comfortable. Away from the city’s hustle and bustle, you can sit quietly in the store, drink some tea and chat with your friends—one of my favourite ways to relax.
